reading book.library

"if you are a good driver, you are often a perfect reader. Whenever you approach a SLOW DOWN sign or a KEEP TO THE RIGHT sign, you give it a quick glance and do exactly as directed. You do not mutter the words to yourself, puzzle over the meanings, or duck-track with your eyes. Certainly you do not stop in traffic to look up definitions in the dictionary."

(Doris Wilcox Gilbert (1959), Breaking the Reading Barrier, Englewood Cliffs, NJ: Prentice-hall Inc.)

 *laugh*
did you get the message that wanted to be delivered by the author?
